    Getting Started With Sprint Service Determining if Your Phone is Already Activated If you purchased your phone at a Sprint Store, it is probably activated, unlocked, and ready to use. If you received your phone in the mail, it probably has been activated; all you need to do is unlock it.

    Primary Functions Earpiece lets you hear the caller and automated prompts. Main Screen (display)displays all the information needed to operate your phone, such as the call status, the Contacts list, the date and time, and the signal and battery strength. Side Volume Key allows you to adjust the ringer volume in standby mode (with the phone open) or adjust the voice volume during a call.

    Using Your Phone’s Battery and Charger WARNING Use only Sprint-approved or manufacturer-approved batteries and chargers with your phone. The failure to use a Sprint-approved or manufacturer-approved battery and charger may increase the risk that your phone will overheat, catch fire, or explode, resulting in serious bodily injury, death, or property damage.

To remove your battery: Make sure the power is off so that you don’t lose any stored numbers or messages.

Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If your battery level becomes too low, your phone automatically turns off, and you will lose all the information you were just working on.

    Making and Answering Calls Holding Your Phone To maximize performance, do not obstruct the bottom portion of your phone where the internal antenna is located while using the phone. Making Calls Placing a call from your wireless phone is as easy as making a call from any landline phone.
