Do not put your fingers inside the drive slots.
Caution:

❏ Both drive 1 and drive 2 must be installed. Otherwise the product will not operate.
❏ Do not use other drives than the Epson exclusive optional drive.
& See "Consumables and Options" on page 134.
❏ Before replacing the drives, be sure to turn off the product, and then unplug the power
cable from the wall outlet. Otherwise, the drive can be damaged.
❏ Do not replace the drives more than 40 times for each slot. Damage of the drive
connectors can destroy the drive and product.

Transporting Your Product

If you need to transport your product some distance, carefully prepare and repack it. Be
sure to use the original box and packing materials.

The product is heavy, so have two people lift the product.

❏ When storing or transporting the product, do not tilt it, stand it up vertically, or turn it
upside down. If you need to transport the product, carefully prepare and repack it using
the original box and packing materials in order to protect the product from shock.
❏ Be sure to remove the two drives before transporting. Otherwise, the drives and the
PP-100II may be deformed or damaged.
❏ Leave the ink cartridges installed. Removing the cartridges can dry out the print head and
may prevent the product from printing.
❏ Leave the maintenance box installed. Removing the maintenance box may cause ink
leakage.
Note:
See the instruction manual of the exclusive optional drive to remove drives.
1. Turn off the product and unplug its power cord.
2. Disconnect the interface cable.
3. Remove all discs from the stackers.
4. Remove the two drives.
