Changing the batteries

Front battery

1. Place the wheelchair on a level
surface.
2. Run/fold out the leg support and, if
possible, raise the seat lift.
3. Turn off the main power switch on
the control panel.
4. Unscrew the two knobs that hold
the chassis cover in the front end.
5. Lift the chassis cover a little on
the front edge. Loosen the front
battery cover by lifting it upwards/
forwards.
6. Loosen the battery terminals.
Also see the sticker on the inside
of the chassis front battery cover.
7. Lift/pull the battery out using the
battery strap.
WARNING
Observe care in the use of metallic objects
when working with batteries. A short-circuit can
easily cause an explosion. Always use protec-
tive gloves and protective eye-glasses.
The batteries are heavy and must be han-
dled with care.
8. Lift/push the new battery in to the
chassis using the battery strap.
9. Connect the battery terminals on
the new battery. Also see the sticker
on the inside of the chassis front
battery cover.
10. Remount the front battery cover.
11. Remount the chassis cover and
the two knobs that hold it in
the front end.
Unscrew the two knobs that hold
the chassis cover in the front end and
loosen the chassis cover a little
on the front edge.
Lift the front battery cover
upwards/forwards.
Battery terminals.
