CLEARANCES TO
COMBUSTIBLES
Due
to
high
surface
temperatures,
the
should be located away
from
furniture
draperies.
Clothing
other flammable material
should not be placed on or
near the heater.

maintain
adequate
clearances around the air
openings in the façade and
allow
for
adequate
ventilation.
Minimum

clearances to combustibles

VENTING COMPONENTS &
CONFIGURATION
The DVI-Ht cannot be vented jointly with any other
solid fuel or gas appliance. The DVI-Ht must be vented
directly to the outside of the building using a proper
termination as listed in the next three pages. The venting
configuration is shown in Figures 4 & 5. If the vent-air
system is disassembled for any reason, reinstall per the
instructions provided in the Assembling The Unit section
of this manual on page 12.

Restrictor Disc
Your DVI-Ht has been supplied with a restrictor disc.
This disc will provide excellent restriction for vertical
vent runs exceeding 20 feet. If your vertical rise is less
than 20 feet, the use of the restrictor is not necessary.
