    Signamax™ FO-065-7732AF Manageable Gigabit Switch Administration Console The administration console is an internal, character-oriented, menu-driven user interface for performing system administration such as displaying statistics or changing option settings. Using this method, you can view the administration console from a terminal, personal computer, Apple Macintosh, or workstation connected to the switch’s console port.

    Signamax™ FO-065-7732AF Manageable Gigabit Switch Modem Access You can access the switch’s administration console from a PC or Macintosh using an external modem attached to the console port. The switch management program provides Console Port screen, accessible from the Basic Management screen, that lets you configure parameters for modem access.

A promiscuous port communicate with all other private VLAN ports and is the port you use to communicate with routers, servers, and administrative workstations.
