In the Settings menu, touch the
symbol.
A list with available languages is
displayed.

Touch the language in the list that you want
to use.

Touch the OK button.

Saving energy

If you activated the energy-savings mode, the dis-
play is switched darker after 1 minute of inactiv-
ity to consume less power. The device does not
change to energy-savings mode if it is supplied by
an external power source or you are in navigation.

In the Settings menu, touch the
symbol to switch on the energy sav-
ings mode (check mark) or to
switch it off (no check mark).

Button sound

In the Key Click menu, you can adjust the volume
of the key sounds or set it to "0" (mute). You can
also select from different key clicks.

In the Settings menu, touch the sym-
bol.
The Key Clicks menu is displayed.

Touch the desired key click.
u
Touch one of the buttons to ad-
just the volume.

Calibrating the touchscreen

You can recalibrate (align) the touchscreen if it
responds imprecisely to touches.

In the Settings menu, touch the sym-
bol to start the calibration.
u
Touch the Yes button to start the calibration
or No to cancel it.
u
Follow the instructions on the display to cali-
brate the touchscreen.

Time

The device receives the time via GPS. In
the Time menu, you can perform the nec-
essary regional settings for the time, such
as time zone and daylight savings time. Only if the
setting is correct, is it possible to obtain the cor-
rect arrival time during the navigation. For further
details, read the chapter "Performing basic set-
tings", "Setting the time zone".

Factory settings

In the Factory Settings menu, you can reset the
device or certain applications, such as the naviga-
tion, to the factory settings.
Note:
If you reset the device to the factory settings,
your personal settings and stored destinations
are deleted. An existing Bluetooth connection
is disconnected with a reset. All registered
cell phones are unregistered. The cell phones
must then be reregistered with the device.

Touch the symbol on the second
page of the Settings menu.
The Factory Settings menu is dis-
played.

Touch one of the symbols to reset the device
or the desired application.
The confi rmation is displayed.
u
Touch Yes to reset the settings to the factory
settings.
The map is displayed.

Wireless connections

Wireless connections are your access to the Inter-
net.
Internet access can be established via Bluetooth
with a cell phone or via WLAN. The settings for the
Internet connection are performed in this menu.
