Installing the AXIS 560/660 in NDPS environments

Having assigned an IP address to the AXIS 560/660 as described in
Assigning an IP address, on page 30, you are now ready to install the
AXIS 560/660 for NDPS printing. You can select to install the
connected printers as Public or Controlled Access printers. Follow the
instructions below to install the AXIS 560/660 using NDPS:
The HP-JETADMIN parameter of the AXIS 560/660 must be set
to YES in order for the communication between the AXIS
560/660 and the NDPS gateway to be enabled.
If you do not have an NDPS Manager object available, start out
with creating one in the NetWare Administrator.
To create a public access printer using the NDPS Manager object in
your NetWare administrator, do the following:
1. Double-click on the NDPS Manager object you will be using to
control the Printer Agents.
2. At the Identification page for the NDPS Manager object you
want to use, click the Printer Agent List button. The Printer
Agent List dialog will appear.
3. Click New. The Create Printer Agent dialog will appear.
4. Type a name of your choice in the NDPS Printer Agent field.
5. Choose the Axis Gateway configuration in the Gateway Type
window. Select TCP/IP or IPX as transport protocol (See Note
below).
6. Click OK.
7. Once you have completed the required tasks, you are ready to
print in your NDPS environment.
The Public Access print servers are immediately available for
everyone on the network.
