■ Setting tag channels
For more effcent scannng, add desred channels as tag
channels or clear the tag for unwanted channels. Non-tag
channels wll be skpped durng scannng.
Tag channels can be assgned to each channel group (INT,
USA, ATIS) ndependently. (Dependng on verson)
q Select the desred channel group (INT, USA, ATIS) by
pushng [DIAL] for 1 sec., f desred.
w Select the desred channel to set as a tag channel.
e Push both [Y] and [Z] for 1 sec. to set the dsplayed
channel as a tag channel.

" appears n the functon dsplay.
r To cancel the tag channel settng, push both [Y] and [Z]
for 1 sec.

" dsappears.
✔ Clearing all tag channels in the selected channel group
Whle pushng and holdng both [Y] and [Z], turn power ON
to clear all tag channels n the channel group.
[Example]: Starting a normal scan.

■ Starting a scan
Set the prorty scan functon, scan resume tmer and auto
scan functon n advance, usng SET mode. (pgs. 17, 18)
q Select the desred channel group (INT, USA, ATIS) by
pushng [DIAL] for 1 sec., f desred. (Avalable for the UK
and German verson only)
w Push [SCN•
] to start prorty or normal scan.

• "SCAN" blnks n the functon dsplay.
• "16" appears on the sub channel readout durng prorty scan.
• When a sgnal s receved, scan pauses untl the sgnal ds-
appears or resumes after pausng 5 sec. accordng to scan
resume tmer settng. (Channel 16 s stll montored durng pror-
ty scan.)
• Push [Y]/[Z] to check the scannng tag channels, change the
scannng drecton or resume the scan manually.
e To stop the scan, push [SCN•
• "SCAN" dsappears.
• Pushng [PTT], [16•
] or [DIAL] also stops the scan.
