Kodak i780 Scanner is robust and is ergonomically designed to be able to handle a production
level duty cycle.
The Kodak i780 Scanner offers superb image processing, utilizing Kodak's Perfect Page
image quality algorithm. The Panasonic offering does not provide a similar capability. Kodak's
Perfect Page feature provides an array of image quality capabilities including:
− Deskew
− Cropping
− Color dropout
− Dynamic thresholding (iThresholding)
− Contrast control
− Blank page detection
− Auto Orientation / Auto Rotation
Kodak i780 Scanner technology for multifeed detection (with ultrasonic technology) can
handle mixed batch documents, and will run at rated speed at 200 and 300 dpi. In contrast,
the Panasonic KV-S3105C Scanner speed @ 200 dpi demonstrates a 32% reduction in speed
for B&W duplex, 44% reduction in speed for duplex color; and @ 300 dpi: B&W: demonstrates
a 45% reduction in speed with simplex and a 58% reduction in speed with duplex; and in
Color: demonstrates a 55% reduction in speed for simplex, and a 66% reduction in speed for
duplex.
The Kodak i780 Scanner can scan longer documents (up to 34 inches / 864 mm) at rated
speed. The Panasonic scanner does not offer this capability.
