• The Kodak i780 Scanner technology for multifeed detection (with ultrasonic technology) can
handle mixed batch documents, and will run at rated speed at 200 and 300 dpi. In contrast,
the BB&H Spectrum Scanner speed decreases by 25% with black and white, two-sided
documents and 74% with color two-sided documents with deskew, auto crop, and AO/AR
features turned on at 200 and 300 dpi.
• The Kodak i780 Scanner produces dual stream output at rated speed. With a capture software
application that supports multiple streams, dual stream is an advantage as it allows a color
image to be leveraged in the validation stage of a typical work flow, then deleted, while the
black and white image, a smaller file, can be archived – without an additional document scan
required. The BB&H Spectrum Scanners do not support dual stream output.
