4.1 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
A. BATTERY INSTALLATION
CAUTION
To protect the image intensifier, keep the lens caps on the
objective lenses when the goggles are not in use or when
they are checked out in daylight conditions.
NOTE
At operating temperatures below –20°C (–4°F), alkaline bat-
teries are not recommended, as operating life will be severely
reduced. Lithium-iron disulfide 1.5V AA batteries or equivalent
should be used below –20°C (–4°F).
