    PREPARATION FOR USE Unplug the AC power lead from the AC socket before connecting or disconnecting any component.     SETTING THE CLOCK Adjust the hour by turning the jog dial. MEMORY/ ON/STAND-BY ENTER When the jog dial is turned one click clockwise, the time Jog dial will increase by 1 hour.     COMPACT DISC OPERATION CD playback Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on. Press the CD button. Press the 7 7 7 7 7 button to open the disc tray. Place the CD on the disc tray, label side up. Be sure to place 8 cm (3") CD in the middle of the disc tray.

    MINIDISC OPERATION MiniDisc playback Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on. Press the MD button. Load a MiniDisc in the direction indicated by the ar- row on the MiniDisc, with the labelled side facing up. The disc name will be displayed only when it has been programmed.
