Setting the Language
1. Press the Menu button to go to the Main Menu.
2. Press the Setup button.
3. Press the L or M button to select Language. Press the
OK button.
4. Press the L or M button to select the language you prefer.
Press M to see more choices. Press the OK button.
A screen confirms your choice. The Setup menu will appear
in the language you selected.
Customer Service
This option is only to be used if you are speaking to a
Customer Service representative. They will give you a code
that enables them to verify certain settings. It is not for use
any other time. Bayer Diabetes Care Customer Service is
available 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST, seven days a week at
1-800-268-7200.

Your meter comes with

installed. The first time you
use G
will need to follow these steps.
For PC Users:
1. Plug your meter into a high-power USB port on your
computer. A window will open. In the window, select
Open folder to view files and then click OK.
2. The G window will open. Double click on
LUCOFACTS
the G D Smart Launch application

and follow the installation prompts. G

and will verify your computer's version of Java. If needed,
you will be directed to update your Java version from the
Java website.
HINT: If you do not have an Internet connection and
Java software, please go to the Java folder on your
C ® N USB meter and double-click the file in
ONTOUR EXT

Java, unplug your meter and reinsert it to re-start
