Charging the Meter

Remove the cap with
USB connector.
The C

ONTOUR
EXT
permanent rechargeable battery.
Charge your meter with the wall charger
plugging the USB connector into a computer. Be
sure the computer is turned on.
Your meter will briefly display "Do Not Test–Charging"
and the test strip port light will flash. You cannot do
a blood glucose test while the battery is charging.
When charging is finished, the test strip port light
will turn off. Unplug your C
to test.

Scroll down to select
your language and
press OK.
Press OK if the correct language is displayed.
Press NO if the incorrect language is displayed.
Press OK to begin the

connection process.
NOTE: Pump refers to your
compatible Medtronic device.

STOP. Do NOT press
ANY
buttons.
This screen displays the meter
ID number (in the bottom
left corner). This ID is needed to complete the
connection process.
Put down your meter. Pick up the compatible
Medtronic device and continue with Step 6.

Press ACT to go to
the MAIN MENU.
Scroll to Utilities by
pressing the down
arrow. Press ACT.
Scroll to Connect Devices and press

ACT. Then scroll to Meters and
press ACT.
Note: If your UTILITIES MENU does not
contain Connect Devices, scroll to
Meter Options and press ACT.
Select On and press ACT. If you are

replacing a meter, go to Step 9. If
you are adding a new meter, go to
Step 11.
To replace a meter, select Delete ID

and press ACT.

If you have multiple meter IDs,
repeat Step 9 for each one.

To add a new meter, select Add ID and

press ACT. Refer to Step 5 (or see
meter back) to find meter ID (SN).
Use the up and down arrow buttons
to enter the six character meter ID
shown on the meter screen.
Press ACT after each character entry.
Select Review ID on

Choosing Meter Send Options
SEND OPTIONS controls how your

readings to your compatible

AutoLog is Off.
AutoLog allows you to
mark a test result as
Fasting, Before Meal, After Meal, or No Mark.

Accept or Change High and

Low Alerts.
The meter alerts you with a
sound when your blood sugar
level is above or below your set levels.
Accept or Change your

Target range.
The Target range is your
goal for your blood sugar
test results.
NOTE: Alerts can only be set outside your selected
Target Range(s). Targets can only be set inside your
selected Alert level(s). For additional information, you
may contact Customer Service. Contact information
