The scanner is not equipped with CPU. The device driver installed in the host computer
includes a control program, which functions as CPU. Control program sends a command to
the ASIC in the main PCB, the ASIC controls the whole electrical circuits and image processing
of the scanner.
Main PCB consists of ASIC, DRAM, USB controller, analog I/C and motor driver.

