Cause
It is time to replace the drum
unit.
The machine is set to
Faxability mode. You can not
change the Recieve Mode from
Manual to another mode.
The paper is jammed
underneath the paper tray or
the fuser unit.
The paper is jammed inside the
machine.
The paper is jammed in the
multi-purpose tray of the
machine.
The paper is jammed in the
back of the machine.
The paper is jammed in the
paper tray of the machine.
The number of pages you are
allowed to print has been
exceeded. The print job will be
cancelled.
The machine could not access
the print log file in the server.
The belt unit is not installed
correctly.
The drum unit is not installed
correctly.
A USB hub device is
connected to the USB direct
interface.
The machine is out of paper in
the paper tray, or paper is not
correctly loaded in the paper
tray.
Action
Replace the drum unit, (see Replacing the
drum unit on page 89).
Set FaxAbility to Off (see FaxAbility
on page 55).

See Paper is jammed in the multi-purpose tray
on page 140.
See Paper is jammed at the back of the
machine on page 142.
See Paper is jammed in the Paper Tray 1 or

Contact your administrator to check your
Secure Function Lock Settings.
Contact your administrator to check the Store
Print Log to Network settings.

Reinstall the belt unit, (see the steps in
Replacing the belt unit on page 95).
Reinstall the drum unit, (see the steps
in Replacing the drum unit on page 89.)
Disconnect the USB hub device from the USB
direct interface.
Do one of the following:
Refill paper in the paper tray. Make sure the
paper guides are set to the correct size.
Remove the paper and load it again. Make
sure the paper guides are set to the correct
size.
If the problem is not resolved, the paper
pick-up roller may need to be cleaned.
Clean the paper pick-up roller.
