HV Battery Pack Recycling

The HV battery pack is recyclable. Contact either your Toyota Distributor as mentioned on HV
battery Caution Label (see page 35) or the nearest Toyota dealer.
Auxiliary Battery
•
The Prius Plug-in hybrid also contains a lead-acid 12 Volt battery. This 12 Volt auxiliary battery
powers the vehicle electrical system similar to a conventional vehicle. As with other conventional
vehicles, the auxiliary battery is grounded to the metal chassis of the vehicle.

The auxiliary battery is located in the cargo area. It is concealed by a fabric cover on the right side
in the rear quarter panel well.
