Hot-plug components
This chapter describes how to replace or add hot-plug components in the
SX960 S1 storage blade.

The HDD/SSD modules are the only hot-plug components within the
SX960 S1 storage blade.
5.1
Hot-plug drives
The drives which can be ordered for the storage blade SX960 S1 are supplied
already mounted in an installation frame so that defective drives can be
replaced and new drives can be added during operation. The drive and
installation frame together make up the HDD/SSD module.

CAUTION!
The drive must not be removed from the installation frame by anyone
except a service technician.
