OPERATION
Drive Clutch Lever (SXA & HXA)
Pull the drive clutch lever up to propel the mower forward.
For self-propelled mowing, press the button on top of the blade
control lever, pull the blade control lever back to the handlebar, then
pull the drive clutch lever up.
Release the drive clutch lever to stop the mower's forward movement.
Always release the drive clutch lever before starting the engine. If the
drive clutch is engaged, the mower will move forward when you
operate the starter.

Operate the drive clutch lever with a quick and complete motion, so
the drive clutch is either fully engaged or released, and hold the drive
clutch lever against the handlebar while propelling the mower. This
will help to extend the service life of the clutch mechanism.
HRM215HXA & HRB215HXA
You can control mower speed with the drive clutch lever. The mower
will move gradually faster as you pull the lever up. If you pull the lever
all the way up to the handlebar, the mower will move at the speed
determined by the shift lever setting.
