RAID Volume Encryption

With FW v3.00.04, you could protect your data by using RAID Volume Encryption
function to prevent data exposure risk. To have this function active, it needs to
enable the "Encryption" option while RAID is created and follow by password input
for identification. The external writable USB disk is required to plug in any USB port
of system to save the password you have inputted while RAID volume is confirmed
to create. The screen shot below shows the details.
Once the RAID volume create button has pressed with encryption function enabled,
it will have message pop-up as below for confirmation.
After RAID volume has been created you may remove this USB disk till next time
while system booting. The RAID volume can not be mounted if USB disk with key
can not be found in any system USB port during volume accessed. To activate
encrypted volume, find the USB disk with key and plug in to any USB port.
We are strongly recommended copying the RAID volume encryption key to some
other safety place. You could find the encrypted key file from USB disk in formatted
"(RAID volume created date)_xxxxxx.key".
WARNING
Please do keep USB disk in safety place and also backup the encrypted
key to some other place.
There is no way to rescue data back if key
lose.
