HOW TO ... REMOVE AND REPLACE CONTROL (CPU) BOARD ASSEMBLY
Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, socket set
WARNING: FAILURE TO OBSERVE SAFE PROCEDURES WHEN SERVICING
Step 1
Record the current WAXING information on the existing CONTROL BOARD (CPU) TRAY ASSEMBLY. Transfer
WAX COUNTS to the new CONTROL BOARD (CPU) TRAY ASSEMBLY in Step 10. Proceed as follows:
A. Enter into the SERVICE REPAIR MENU by pressing 919, Enter.
B. Press the FIT TEST PROGRAM key. The DISPLAY CONSOLE will show the "NUMBERED OF TIMES
WAXED." Record this information for transfer to the new CONTROL BOARD (CPU) TRAY ASSEMBLY.
Step 2
Turn the power OFF at the ON/OFF switch and then unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
Step 3
Remove MOTOR COVER, "See How To ..."
Step 4
Ground yourself to the machine by positioning an ANTI-STATIC GROUNDING STRAP around your wrist and
attaching the end (alligator Clip) to a MOUNTING SCREW, or a connecting GROUND WIRE SCREW.
NOTE: THE LOCATIONS OF THE CONNECTORS PRIOR TO UNPLUGGING THEM
Step 5
Disconnect the six CONNECTORS from the CONTROL BOARD (CPU) TRAY ASSEMBLY.
Step 6
Remove the SCREWS (3) from the SIDE PLATE located
towards the front of the treadmill. Lift SIDE PLATE out and set
aside.
Step 7
Loosen the hex head SCREWS (3) that mount the CONTROL
BOARD (CPU) TRAY ASSEMBLY to the MOTOR
CONTROLLER.
Step 8
Carefully lift the CONTROL BOARD (CPU) TRAY ASSEMBLY
out of the treadmill.
Step 9
Reverse Steps 1 through 8 to return all parts to there proper locations.
NOTE: AFTER INSTALLING A NEW CONTROL BOARD (CPU) TRAY ASSEMBLY,
Step 10
Enter into the SERVICE REPAIR MENU by pressing 8228, ENTER. The DISPLAY CONSOLE will prompt you for
what was serviced. Press #2, ENTER for CONTROL BOARD (CPU) TRAY ASSEMBLY. The Treadmill "NUMBER
OF TIMES WAXED" will appear. Press the numbers corresponding to the information you recorded in Step 1. The
"PERCENTAGE OF WAX REMAINING" will be calculated automatically. Press STOP or CLEAR KEY to exit the
SERVICE REPAIR MENU. The Treadmill is now ready for operation.
THIS UNIT COULD RESULT IN INJURY FROM ELECTRICAL SHOCK
FROM THE CONTROL( CPU) BOARD.
IT WILL NECESSARY TO RESET THE WAX COUNTS.
