Removing the Expansion-Card Guide (Desktop Chassis)

CAUTION:
Before you perform this procedure, see
NOTICE:
Before disconnecting a peripheral from the system or removing a component from the system board, verify that the standby power indicator on the
system board has turned off. To locate this indicator, see
1. Turn off the computer and peripherals, disconnect them from their electrical outlets, wait at least 5 seconds, and then
2.
Remove the hard-drive
bracket.
3. Remove all expansion cards.
4. Remove the expansion-card guide:
a. Face the computer from the front.
b. From the outside of the chassis, press in the two tabs on the left side of the card guide.
This will release the left card-guide tabs from the chassis.
c. Rotate the released side of the card guide away from the front chassis wall.
d. With the released side of the card guide away from the chassis wall, pull the card guide back away from the chassis (see the following figure).
