    Replacing a CD, Zip, or Other Externally Accessible Drive (Desktop Chassis) 1. Attach the new drive to the drive bracket. Turn the drive upside down, and fit the bracket on the drive so that the screw holes align. To ensure proper installation, all screw holes should be aligned and the tabs on the front of the bracket should be flush with the front of the drive (see "Removing the Drive from the Bracket").

One 32-bit AGP card. The expansion slot supports AGP 4x or 2x Pro50 modes operating at 1.5 V.

    NOTE: If you are you are installing a microprocessor upgrade kit from Dell, discard the original microprocessor heat sink and securing clips. Your microprocessor upgrade kit should include a replacement microprocessor heat sink and two replacement securing clips. If you are not installing a microprocessor upgrade kit from Dell, reuse the original heat sink and securing clips when replacing the microprocessor.

    3. Remove the microprocessor from its connector. Your microprocessor uses a zero insertion force (ZIF) socket with a lever-type handle that secures or releases the microprocessor. To remove the microprocessor, pull the socket lever straight up until the microprocessor is released. Then remove the microprocessor from the socket (see the following figure).
