Heat Sink (Thermal Module)

Description
Heat sink (thermal module)
The heat sink is located at the top of the computer. It is mostly covered by the system board cover. It
is secured with four captive screws near the processor and one non-captive screw on the opposite
side near the fan.

To remove the heat sink:

Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

In the order indicated, loosen the four captive Torx screws (1) – (4) that secure the heat sink to
the system board.
5.
Remove the non-captive Torx screw from the top of the heat sink (5).
