Battery charging

Once you have installed the battery, the screen indicates the battery status (see the
table below). For best performance, keep the handset in the handset charger when
not in use. The battery is fully charged after  hours of continuous charging.
Battery indicators
The screen is blank, or
shows Put in charger and
flashes.
The screen shows
Low battery and
flashes.
The screen shows
HANDSET X.
If you place the handset in the handset charger without plugging in the battery, the
screen displays No battery.

Register a handset

Each new handset must be registered with the telephone base before use.
When properly charged, each expansion handset displays To register HS...
and ...see manual alternately. You may need to charge the handset before
registering it to the telephone base.
To register a handset:
. Place the handset in the telephone base.
. Wait for about 0 seconds. The handset shows Registering... and then
Registered briefly. You hear a confirmation tone when the registration
process completes.

Deregister handsets

If you want to replace a handset or reassign the designated handset number of a
registered handset, you must deregister all handsets and then individually register
each handset.

To deregister all handsets:

. Press and hold
. Immediately press
3. All handsets show To register HS... and ...see manual alternately when the
deregistration process completes. The deregistration process takes about
0 seconds to complete.
Battery status
The battery has no charge or
very little charge. The handset
cannot be used.
The battery has enough
charge to be used for a
short time.
The battery is charged.
on the telephone base for about 0 seconds.

Charge without interruption
(at least 30 minutes).
Charge without interruption
(about 30 minutes).
To keep the battery charged,
place it in the handset
charger when not in use.
Press and hold for about 0 seconds.
