Introduction Algo’s USB Analog Terminal Adapter enables the use of a traditional analog wired or cordless telephone, TTY/TDD terminal, fax machine (refer to footnote on page 5), or other analog device with a Nortel IP Softphone 2050 (Version 2 B254 or newer) for Business Communication Manager (BCM) or Communication Server 1000 (CS 1000). -

Fax functionality requires G.711 Codec (no T.38 Support). Fax performance may vary with PC and network capability. For this reason, Algo does not recommend the USB Analog Terminal Adapter for frequent multi-page fax traffic. Some PCs may require settings to improve audio performance necessary for fax applications. -

4900 USB Analog Terminal Adapter Connections Installation 1. Connect the 4900 USB ATA to the PC using the supplied USB cable. 2. The first time the USB ATA is plugged in, there will be a pause while Windows configures the device and locates the appropriate driver software. -
