4.1 Troubleshooting

If you think there may be a failure when operating, confirm the status of this product
by referring to "4.1.1 Points to be checked" ( p.24), and contact your maintenance
engineer.
• "
This product has an error." ( p.24)
• "
The power source of this product is cut." ( p.24)
• "
This product is not turned on." ( p.25)
• "
The hard disk access LED is not turned on." ( p.25)
• "
The hard disk status LED lights up amber." ( p.25)
• "
An error message about this product is displayed in the server." ( p.25)
• "
The disk is not recognized by the server." ( p.25)

4.1.1 Points to be checked

■ This product has an error.
Pull the chassis power plug out of the power supply outlet when this product is in the following state as
compared with usual operation, and contact your maintenance engineer.
• Over heating
• Emitting a strange smell
• Smoking
• Emitting strange noises
• Shaking unusually
■ The power source of this product is cut.
Check the following. If you cannot solve the problem, leave this product as is and contact your
maintenance engineer.
• Is the chassis power cable connected to the outlet properly?
• Is there an outside power disruption, blackout, etc.?
• Was there recently an outside power disruption, blackout, etc.?
