"WHITE-ON" display
A newly-developed transparent liquid crystal panel called "WHITE-ON"
display is provided over the analogue dial. It shows white characters
clearly without blocking the view of the hands and dial, and various digital
displays can be turned on and off as you require. The watch, therefore,
serves as a multi-function digital watch as well as being an analogue
watch.

    The alarm time can be set to ring within 24 hours of the current time. The alarm rings once at a designated time and is automatically disengaged thereafter. ALARM TIME SETTING Press in CALENDAR mode Mode to show SINGLE-TIME mark ALARM mode.

  • Page 10 The stopwatch measures up to 12 hours in 1/100-second increments for the first 60 minutes and in 1-second increments thereafter.   • Page 13 “WHITE-ON” DISPLAY The digital display is shown most clearly in the light, while it is rather obscure in the gloom. Move the watch face to find an angle that provides the clearest view of the display. DISPLAY AND MODE CHANGE If the watch is left untouched in the CALENDAR mode, the digital display will automatically become blank in 10 seconds.
  • Page 14 Demonstration of “WHITE-ON” display While the digital display is turned off or in the CALENDAR mode, press buttons B and C at the same time. • The display as shown at right appears for 1 second, and then it disappears and the digital display remains blank for 5 seconds.
  • Page 15 Time Year Month, date and day Each of the above displays is shown for 3 seconds. Then, the watch automatically returns to the display you used before setting the time/calendar. Pressing button A, B or C in any of the above displays will also return the watch to the display you used before setting the time/calendar.
  • Page 16 If the changeover between 12- and 24-hour indications is made in more than one regular alarm display, the time indication system you set last will be effective for the time indication in the other displays. Note on unusual display: If buttons B and C are pressed at the same time in the ALARM SETTING display, the display as shown at right will appear.
  • Page 17 The lap/split times measured by pressing button C and the measurements taken by pressing button B to stop measurement are stored in memory. The data number is not a lap/split number. It indicates the number of measurements stored in memory. Up to 20 newest data are stored in memory.
  • Page 18 When the battery expires, be sure to replace it as soon as possible to prevent any malfunction. We recommend that you contact an AUTHORIZED PULSAR DEALER for battery replacement. Battery life indicator When you see the second hand moving at two-second intervals instead of the normal one-second intervals, the battery needs to be replaced with a new one.
  • Page 19 Necessary procedure after battery change After the battery is replaced with a new one, or an abnormal display (broken digits, etc.) appears, follw the procedure below to reset the IC. Pull out crown, and press and hold buttons A, B and C at the same time for 1 to 2 seconds.
