MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Lubrication
Drive Shaft Lubrication
To grease the drive shaft and coupler splines, the pump assembly must
be removed. This maintenance procedure should be performed by your
dealer on an annual basis. If the boat is frequently used in salt water,
this procedure should be done semi-annually.
Bearing Housing
Using a grease gun, lubricate the
bearing housing at the grease
fitting (1) until grease purges past
the seals. Use Polaris All Season
Premium Grease.
Any time water has been at or above the coupler level, grease the
drive shaft coupler to prevent damage to these parts. Lubrication
after every 25 hours of operation is also recommended.
