Be Careful of Scratches and Dust
- HD. DVD and CD disl'S are sensitive to dust.
fingerprints and especially scratches. A scratched
disc may not be able to be played back. I-Iand1c discs
with care and store them in a safe place.

Cleaning the Pick Up Lens
- Never use commercially available cleaning discs.
The use of Ihese discs can damage the lens.
- Request the nearc·st service center appmved by
Yamaha to clean the lens.

Warnings about dew formation
- Condensation may form on pick up lells or disc in
the f()\Iowing conditions:
- Immediately after a heater has been tumed
011.
- In a steamy or very humid room.
- When the Player is suddenly moved fmm a cold
envimnment to a warm one.
When condensation forms:
- It becomes diflicult for the Player to read the signals
on the disc and prevents the Player from operating
properly.
To remove condensation:
- Take out the disc and leave the Player with the
power off until the condensation disappears. Using
the Player when there is condensation lTlay cause
malfunction.
