When making a digital connection
When connecting the unit to equipment

Connect the other equipment to the "OPTICAL
jacks" on the back of this main unit.

that has a coaxial jack:
Connect the other equipment to the "COAXIAL
jack" on the back of this main unit.
The coaxial connection is only an input to this unit.
