POSITIONING THE SYSTEM

Position your system so as to obtain the maximum performance of the system in your room.
Center speaker (Subwoofer)
Since the low frequency sound reproduced by the subwoofer is almost nondirectional, the
listener will not be able to localize the bass source. Therefore the center speaker will
provide maximum flexibility in terms of positioning. We recommend that the center speaker
is placed on a floor or close to a wall to get low frequency sound more effectively.
• The center speaker may make sound from the personal computer noisy when they are
placed nearby each other. To solve the problem, move the center speaker away from the
personal computer.
Satellite speakers
The high frequency sound reproduced by the satellite speakers is directional. In order to get
the stereo image, we recommend that both of the satellite speakers should be placed so that
the angle formed by the lines which link both the satellite speakers and the listener is at an
angle of 60-degrees and the height of the satellite speakers become level with that of the
listener's ears.
The two satellite speakers are identical.
Position the one connected to the L terminals on the left and the other on the right.
Placing on a desk etc.
The satellite speakers can be placed on top of a desk etc. with the supplied speaker stands.
→ A
You can place the speakers without the speaker stands as well.
Mounting on a wall
To mount the satellite speakers on a wall, use the supplied screws. → B
Tighten the screws (leave approximately 8 mm projected part) on the wall first. Then hang
the satellite speakers on them.
Notes
• Before mounting the satellite speakers, please check whether the material of the wall is
strong enough to hold the speakers or not.
• Aiwa disclaims any responsibility for injury to persons or other accidents caused by not
fitting the satellite speakers properly or if the place of the installation is not suitable.
