Singing karaoke
• With Video CD/Super VCDs, make sure
the STEREO audio channel option (also
see Switching audio channels when
playing a Video CD/Super VCD on page 42)
is selected so that you can use the
karaoke features.
• Depending on the microphone level, the
sound of the disc may distort. If this
happens, turn down the volume.
• KARAOKE mode is reset (return to initial
mode) after press OPEN/CLOSE or
STANDBY ON button.
For the EV31DVD model only
• For best results, turn off Virtual Surround
when using the karaoke feature.

Changing the vocal mix

Adding some effects to the microphone mix
can sometimes improve the overall sound.
You can choose between three echo levels.
To add effects to the microphone mix,
press ECHO.
Pressing repeatedly switches between echo
levels 1 to 3 and off.

Changing the backing track

Sometimes you may want to lower or raise the
pitch of the backing track to match your vocal
range.
Press KEY CONTROL
KARAOKE) or
(SHIFT+ECHO) to lower or
raise the pitch of the backing track.
For the EV61DVD model only
• Multichannel sources are downmixed to
stereo when adjust KEY CONTROL.
