7.1 Power System

As for R2600/3600 series, you can judge if their power system runs normally according
to the POWER indicator on the front panel: the POWER indicator is always on when the
system is normal; if the indicator is off, please check the following:
If the router's power switch is turned on.
If the router's power supply switch is turned on.
If the router's power cable is correctly connected.
If the power required by the router matches the power supplied.
Caution:
If the POWER indicator is still off after checking the above items, please contact the local agent of Huawei.
Never plug or unplug the power cable with the system being powered on.

7.2 Configuration System

After power-on, start information will be displayed on the configuration terminal if the
router runs normally. But If the configuration system is faulty, nothing or error code will
be displayed.
I. No display on the terminal
Please check the following:
If the power system works normally
If the console cable is correctly connected
If no problem is detected, it is likely that the console cable is incorrectly connected or
the HyperTerminal of the configuration terminal is incorrectly configured, please
conduct the corresponding check.
II. Terminal shows error code
If the configuration terminal shows error code, it is likely that the HyperTerminal
parameters are incorrectly configured.
Please confirm the parameter settings at the configuration terminal: set the baud rate to
9600, the data bits to 8, no parity check, stop bit to 1, no traffic control, and emulation to
VT100.
