Symptom
No sound, no voice.
The estimated time of arrival is differ-
ent from the actual time of arrival.
The person on the other end of the
phone call cannot hear the conversa-
tion due to an echo.
The registered phone cannot be
deleted.
When the screen is frozen...
Park your vehicle in a safe place, and cut off the engine. Turn the ignition key back to "Acc off". Then
start the engine again, and turn the power to the navigation system back on. If this does not solve the
problem, press the RESET button on the navigation system.
Symptom
CD or DVD playback is not possible.
No picture.
The audio skips.

Cause
"Guide Mute" has been set, or sound
volume is reduced to 0.
This phenomenon is normal,
because the estimated time of arrival
is affected by various factors such as
traffic jams or shortcuts.
The voice from the person on the
other end of the phone call is output
from the speakers and then picked
up by the microphone again, creat-
ing an echo.
Normally, the registered phone can-
not be deleted.
Cause
The disc is inserted upside down.
The disc is dirty.
The disc is cracked or otherwise
damaged.
The files on the disc are an irregular
file format.
The disc format cannot be played
back.
The loaded disc is a type this system
cannot play.
The handbrake lead is not connected
or applied.
Handbrake interlock is activated.
The [AV Input] setting is incorrect.
The navigation system is not firmly
secured.
Failure hard disk drive.
Action (See)
Adjust the volume of the guidance or
turn "Guide Mute" off.
Refer to "Setting the Volume for
Guidance and Phone" (➞ Page 67).
The estimated time of arrival is an
ideal value calculated based on the
value set for [Average Speed] and
the actual driving speed. The esti-
mated time of arrival is only a refer-
ence value, and does not guarantee
arrival at that time.
Use the following methods to reduce
the echo.
— Lower the volume on the receiver
— Have both speakers pause
slightly before speaking
• Overwrite the old registered phone
with a new phone.
• Clear [Phone Settings] by refer-
ring to "Returning the Navigation
System to the Default or Factory
Settings".
Action (See)
Insert the disc with the label upward.
Clean disc.
Insert a normal, round disc.
Check the file format.
Replace disc.
Check what type the disc is. (Also see
"Handling and Care of the Disc" in
the Hardware Manual and "Detail
Information for Playable Media" for
more cautions about handling each
type of media.)
Connect a handbrake lead correctly,
and apply the handbrake.
Park your vehicle in a safe place and
apply the handbrake.
