Step 2b – Internal Storage Cage - System Disk Drive - Mandatory
Selection of one system disk drive is mandatory for the Internal Storage Cage (3X-BA10A-AA)
- Mandatory selection of one IDE or one internal SCSI system disk drive
- Mandatory selection of SCSI adapter and SCSI cable kit required for internal SCSI disks and tape
DS10 Storage Configuration Rules with Selection of Internal Storage Cage:
DS10 Systems configured with the Internal Storage Cage include a 600-MB 48X half height CD-ROM and 1.44-MB diskette in
dedicated drive slots
DS10 Systems configured with the Internal Storage Cage include three internal storage bays (two in the Storage cage plus
one in the system box) that can be configured as follows:
Maximum of three internal disk drives (3.5-inch x 1-inch drives) or two internal disk drives
(3.5-inch x 1-inch) and one 5.25-inch half height removable media device
Mandatory selection of SCSI adapter and SCSI cable kit is required for internal SCSI disks or tapes
IDE Disk drive cable kits are included with the system
NOTE: When a tape drive is ordered, it will be installed in the top slot (Slot 3) and the CD will be installed in
Slot 4.

40-GB 7,200 rpm IDE (UDMA) disk drive
