The HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 is a brand new server in the ProLiant portfolio that redefines density-optimized 4-socket rack server
technology without compromising on performance, scalability, and expandability. Supporting the new high-density and cost effective
Intel® Xeon® E5-4600 processors, the DL560 Gen8 is ideal for virtualization, database, business processing, and general 4P data-
intensive applications where optimization of data center space and price/performance is paramount.
The server is packed with the latest HP innovative and intuitive hardware and software features. Hardware enhancements include the
HP SmartDrive carriers, HP Smart Socket guide, HP SmartMemory, FlexibleLOM technology, "3D Sea of Sensors", the new embedded
Smart Array P420i RAID controller, and more. Software enhancements include HP Integrated Lifecycle Automation, Dynamic Workload

  • Page 5 HP ProLiant DL560 Generation8 (Gen8) Standard Features HP Server ROM HP ROM (Read Only Memory) is now digitally signed using HP's Corporate Signing Service. This signature is verified before the flash process starts, reducing accidental programming and preventing malicious efforts to corrupt system ROM.
  • Page 6 All Pre-configured servers ship with a high voltage server-to-PDU power cord. NOTE: HP ProLiant DL servers no longer ship standard with a 12-foot NEMA 5-15P to C13 power cord that connects to 110V US wall outlets in a home or office. ProLiant DL servers are primarily connected to power distribution units (PDUs) in data center racks and now ship standard with a PDU 6-foot C-14 to C13 power cord (A0K02A).

    Standard Features Warranty This product is covered by a global limited warranty and supported by HP Services and a worldwide network of HP Authorized Channel Partners resellers. Hardware diagnostic support and repair is available for three years from date of purchase. Support for software and initial setup is available for 90 days from date of purchase.

  • Page 15 Provides problem resolution support across the stack of HW, firmware, and HP and 3rd party SW. In case the issue is with 3rd party SW, HP does known issue resolution. If HP cannot solve the issue, it will contact the third-party vendor and create a problem incident on your behalf.
  • Page 16 The defective media retention service feature option applies only to Disk or eligible SSD/Flash Drives replaced by HP due to malfunction. It does not apply to any exchange of Disk or SSD/Flash Drives that have not failed. SSD/Flash Drives that are specified by HP as consumable parts and/or that have exceeded maximum supported lifetime and/or the maximum usage limit as set forth in the manufacturer's operating manual or the technical data sheet are not eligible for the defective media retention service feature option.
