    AT-RPS8000 Quick Install Guide Reviewing Safety Precautions Please review the following safety precautions before you begin the installation procedure. Caution Electric Shock Hazard: To prevent ELECTRIC shock, do not remove cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. This unit contains HAZARDOUS VOLTAGES and should only be opened by a trained and qualified technician.

    Installing the AT-RPS8000 Unit This section contains the procedure for installing the AT-RPS8000 unit. You can install the unit on a table or in a standard 19-inch rack. This procedure does not require that you turn OFF the power to the Ethernet switches to which you will be connecting the redundant power supply.

    Turn on the AT-RPS8000 using the switch on the back panel of the unit. (Refer to Figure 4 for the ON/OFF switch.) Make sure the LED on the front of the AT-PWR8000 module is solid green. 10. Make sure the RPS LED on the front of the Ethernet switch is solid green to indicate a good connection to the AT-PWR8000 module.
  • Page 13 Figure 7 Installing an Additional AT-PWR8000 Module Once firmly installed, use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the captive screws on the module to secure it to the AT-RPS8000 unit. Make sure the LED on the front of the AT-PWR8000 module is solid green.
