2. Enter the IP address or host name of the camera in the Location/Address field of your browser. To access the camera from a Macintosh computer (Mac OSX), click on the Bonjour tab and select AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 from the drop-down list. -

AXIS Media Control toolbar AXIS Media Control viewer toolbar is available in Internet Explorer only. See AXIS Media Control (AMC), on page 14 for more information. The toolbar displays the following buttons: The Play button connects to the Axis product and starts playing a media stream. - Page 12 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Accessing the Camera Half-duplex mode The Talk/Listen button is used to switch between sending and receiving audio. The button can be config- ured from the Audio tab in the AMC Control panel: • Push-To-Talk mode: Click and hold the button to talk/send, release the button to listen.

Note also that all multicast viewers count as one unicast viewer in the maximum total of 20 simultaneous connections. AXIS Media Control negotiates with the camera to determine the transport protocol to use. The order of priority, listed in the AMC Control Panel, can be changed and the options disabled, to suit specific requirements. -

AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Configuring the camera Configuring the camera AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 can be configured by users with administrator or operator rights. To access the product’s configuration menus, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page. -
Page 16: Video & Audio
AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio Video & Audio Video Stream To enable view areas, go to Setup > Video & Audio > Camera Settings > View Areas. If View Areas have been enabled, the defined View Areas are listed here and each View Area is given its own video stream settings. For more information about view areas, see page 19. - Page 17 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio Overlay Settings Text, date & time overlay To place an overlay image at specific coordinates in the view area, check Include overlay image at coordinates and enter the X and Y coordinates. The overlay image must first be uploaded to the network camera, see Overlay Image, on page Text, date and time can also be used as an overlay.

To remove a stream profile, click Remove. Pre-programmed profiles cannot be removed. • Camera Settings This page provides access to the advanced image settings for AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347. Capture mode Capture mode defines how image data is taken from the image sensor prioritizing either frame rate or resolution. The capture mode is set the first time the camera is accessed, see Configure capture mode, on page 10. -
Page 19: View Areas
This is used to compensate for the different colors present in different light sources, to make the colors in the image appear the same. AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 can be set to automatically identify the light source and compensate for its color. -
Page 20: Overlay Image
To use your own image, e.g. a logo, it must first be upload to AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347. Click Browse and locate the image file on the computer. Click Upload. When uploaded, the file can be selected in the Use overlay image drop-down list. -
Page 21: Focus
AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio 1. Click Add. A rectangle appears on the image. 2. Use the mouse to move the rectangle. To resize, click and pull the bottom right-hand corner. 3. Enter a descriptive name in the Mask name field. -
Page 22: Audio Settings
You must actively transmit/receive sound using the Talk/Listen button available on the Live View page (see AXIS Media Control toolbar, on page 11). In Push-To-Talk mode, click and hold the button to speak and release it when done. In Toggle mode, click once to switch between speaking and listening. - Page 23 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Video & Audio Note: To receive synchronized video in H.264 and audio, it is recommended that the time settings in the camera and client computer are synchronized with an NTP Server. This is enabled in the camera under System Options > Date & Time.

Listed are the pre-programmed stream profiles as well as the ones created under Video & Audio > Stream Profiles. See Stream Profiles, on page 18, for more information. - Page 25 AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347 - Live View Config Viewer Settings Check the Show viewer toolbar box to display the AXIS Media Control (AMC) or the QuickTime viewer toolbar under the video image in your browser. The administrator can disable the installation of the H.264 decoder included with AXIS Media Control. This is used to prevent the installation of unlicensed copies.

To quickly access these settings use the Basic Setup in the menu. All settings are also available from the standard setup links in the menu. -

SD memory card slot To insert an SD card, lift the SD card cover on the rear of AXIS P1346/-E/AXIS P1347, and carefully insert the SD card into its slot. To remove an SD card lift the cover and gently push the card in and release it.
