Power Management

This category allows you to select the type (or degree) of power
saving and is directly related to the following modes:
Power Management
HDD Power Down
Doze Mode
Suspend Mode
There are three selections for Power Management, two of which have fixed
mode settings.
Min. Power Saving
Max. Power Saving
User Defined (default)

ACPI Suspend Type

This item will set which ACPI suspend type will be used.
S1 (POS)
S3 (STR)

Minimum power management. Suspend
Mode = 1hr., and HDD Power Down = 15
min.
Maximum power management —
Suspend Mode = 1 min., and HDD
Power Down = 1 min.
Allows you to set each mode individu
ally. When not disabled, each of the
ranges are from 1 min. to 1 hr. except for
HDD Power Down which ranges from 1
min. to 15 min. and disable.
The S1 sleeping state is low wake-up latency
sleeping state. In this state, no system context is
lost(CPU or chip set) and hardware maintains all
system context.
The S3 state is a low wake-up latency sleeping
state where all system context is lost expect
system memory. CPU, cache, and chipset context
are lost in this state. Hardware maintains memory
context and restores some CPU and L2 configura
tion context.
