Model
The purpose of this manual is to help you get your electric-reject APEX 500 Rx up and
running as quickly as possible. The manual covers the following topics.
 Installing your APEX 500 Rx
 Setting operator and other passwords
 Checking sensitivity (the APEX's ability to detect metallic contaminants)
 Troubleshooting
This manual—please note—is only a supplement to the main APEX User's Guide. As a
result, you should consult the main APEX User's Guide for complete information on
safely using, installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your APEX 500 Rx.
What to Do Next
Please follow the instructions below to install your electric-reject APEX 500 Rx.
1) Follow the instructions on pages 7 through 13, which tell you how to install the reject
chutes and insert the APEX into your production line.
2) Follow the instructions on pages 14 through 18, which tell you how to connect the
main power cable to the APEX.
3) Follow the instructions on page 20 to the end of the manual, which tell you how to
set passwords for the APEX as well as how to check its sensitivity and troubleshoot
the system should a problem occur.
