Handlebars

Adjustable handlebars
The inclination of the motorcy-
cle handlebars can be adjusted
within the 1 markings. Consult
an authorized workshop, prefer-
ably an authorized BMW Motor-
rad retailer, for adjustment of the

handlebars.

Windshield

Adjusting windshield
Windshield adjustments
while riding represent an
accident hazard.
Adjust windshield while stopped
only.
Turn handwheel 1 clockwise to
lower the windshield.
Turn handwheel 1 counter-
clockwise to raise the wind-
shield.

Spring preload

Setting
It is essential to set the spring
preload to suit the load carried by
the motorcycle. Increase spring
preload when the vehicle is heav-
ily loaded and reduce spring
preload accordingly when the
vehicle is lightly loaded.

firm and park motorcycle.
