9.1 About Windows Mobile Device Center and
You have to install Windows Mobile Device Center in the computer to allow
synchronization and file exchange with the computer. Through the close
integration with Microsoft Office Outlook®, you can easily send personal
information in Microsoft Office Outlook® to your phone or computer.
If your company or telecom service provider provides Microsoft Exchange,

your phone can synchronize with Exchange through GPRS or Wi-Fi
connections.
If the operating system of your computer is Windows XP, you have to install
ActiveSync 4.5 or above to allow the synchronization operation of your
phone with the computer.In this Manual, the descriptions are mainly for the
Windows Mobile Device Center in Windows Vista.

You can install the Windows Mobile Device Center using the Installation
CD-ROM delivered with the phone, or download the latest version of the
installation program of Windows Mobile™ Device Center or ActiveSync from
the Download Center in Microsoft website (http://www.microsoft.com/
windowsmobile).

Sync the phone and computer data. For example, personal information
such as Microsoft Office Outlook® contacts, task, calendar, and e-mail, etc.
Synchronize multimedia data such as pictures, videos, music, etc to the
phone, or import the pictures or clips captured by the phone into your
computer.
Sync the phone and Exchange Server®. Sync with the remote server via
Exchange Server® to update personal information such as the contacts,
tasks, calendar appointments, and e-mail, etc in the phone.
Exchange files between phone and computer.
Setting sync options. Select the sync data types and specific amount of
data to sync. For example, sync calendar information a specified number of
weeks from the past only.
Back up your contacts, calendar and tasks information in the computer.
When the information in your device is lost, the information in Office
Outlook in the computer can be restored to the mobile device.
