A To turn the unit ON or to standby
Press the STANDBY/ON button.
< If the MAIN POWER switch on the rear
panel is turned off, press the switch to
turn the unit on.

C Adjust the volume
To protect the speaker from a sudden
high-level signal, gradually turn up the
volume to the required level using the
VOLUME knob.

To turn off the main power (To save
battery)
When the R-3 is not being used, you can
save battery power by turning off the
MAIN POWER switch on the rear panel.
< While the MAIN POWER switch is turned
off, display goes out but the R-3 can
continue to recharge the battery.
