c. Choose one of the following:
– If you're using Secure Strategy Distribution (SSD), follow steps in form #1762, the PAC
Terminal SSD Technical Note, to create a download file with the file extension .ssd.
– Otherwise, compile the strategy as a Control Engine Download file (.cdf) by
right-clicking the name of the control engine in the Strategy Tree and choosing
Compile Control Engine Download File from the pop-up menu.
The file is created in the same folder as the strategy, with a .cdf extension and a filename
consisting of the strategy's name and the control engine's name (for example,
MyStrategy.MyEngine.cdf ).
d. Rename the .cdf or .ssd strategy file to fit the 8 dot 3 filename format for the microSD card
(see
"Card Type and Format" on page
IMPORTANT: You must retain the correct file extension (.cdf or .ssd).
a. Locate the firmware file you wish to boot from.

For this file, do not keep the same file extension. Recommended naming scheme:
