FIRST TIME INSTALLATION
Adjust Motor for ASTRA
To continue the installation you now have to determine
the angle to ASTRA 1. The motor and the antenna must
be adjusted towards the ASTRA 1 satellites on 19,2
East as this is the reference setting. All other prepro-
grammed satellite positions are oriented relative to
ASTRA 1.
You also have to mount the antenna at a proper place
outdoors.
How to do all this, please read the separate Fitting In-
structions for the SatScan positioner.
(The figure to the right will appear when you select line 4 from
the menu above and press OK.)
On condition that the outdoor installations are finished, the an-
tenna is properly adjusted towards ASTRA and the Signal
Strength (AGC) bar is as strong as possible:
• Select one of the predefined ASTRA channel alternatives
• Press OK....
....and the Signal Strength bar will change to indicate the Signal
Quality (SNR) bar instead (Red/Yellow/Green) *
will show the signal quality from the predefined TV channel. Se-
lect the predefined channel that will give the best bar indication.
Within a few seconds you will also get picture from the channel
in the background.
• If necessary, select line 1 and fine tune the motor with the
buttons on the remote control.
• Press OK and you will return to....
....the Motor Antenna Configuration menu again.
As you now have picture from ASTRA, it is time to perform a
Channel Search procedure.
• Select one of the lines 1-3.
• Press OK......
