starts distress call.
When "Simple distress call" is made;
The distress call is made with the following condi-
tion

: Undesignated
Subsequence
: Telephony (J3E)
Call frequency : Six frequency
D D When no acknowledgement is received
If no acknowledgement is received, the IC-
M801GMDSS automatically transmits the distress call
again every 3.5 to 4.5 minutes.
CALL PROCEDURE
While waiting for the acknowledgement
When the acknowledgement call is received.
CAUTION!
DO NOT push [CANCEL] while waiting for an ac-
knowledgement, otherwise the distress call repeat
is cancelled.
Push [CANCEL] only when you want to cancel re-
peated transmission.
