Monitor Conventional Mode Activity

This feature allows you to monitor channel traffic on conventional
channels by defeating the coded squelch.
Do one of the following:
• Take the microphone off
hook,
OR
• Models W4, W5, and W7:
Press the Mon button
momentarily.
MON ON shown on the
display indicates that the
radio is monitoring.
• Model W9: Press the Sql
button momentarily.
MONITOR ON shown on the
display indicates that the
radio is monitoring.
