2. M inim um clearances from com bustible w alls above and below counter: (S ee Figure 1A )
3. C ut-out dim ensions illustrated in Figure 2 are as follow s:
The m inim um vertical distance to com bustible m aterial above the range cooking top is 24 inches, provided the overhead construction does not extend 13
inches from the rear w all.
N O TE : U L and cU L certified w ith a m inim um top clearance of 19 1/2" to overhead com bustible construction w hen installed w ith a range hood spaced a m inim um of 1/4"
from the construction.
4. E nsure the cabinets are properly constructed. The cabinets m ust be squared w ith respect to the counter top and the cabinet face. For proper operation of these units,
the cabinet m ust be level and the bottom of the range m ust be supported.
5. A fter the cabinet has been prepared per the dim ensions given and the gas connection is in place, rem ove m ain top and position the unit in the cabinet opening. N O TE :
B e sure all opening in the cabinetry around the gas lines are sealed at the tim e of installation.
W A R N IN G : It is im perative that the cabinet in w hich the unit is placed be separated from o th er ap p lian ce s so that the com bustion air supply to the top
burners can not be affected in any w ay by any forced-air heating appliance or its return air system or by any source of positive or negative air pressure,
such as, but not lim ited to, pow er vents, fans, etc. A negative air pressure created by another forced air m oving appliance m ay draw the flam e down around
the top burne rs a n d in to th e m ain top resulting in dam age to the burners and cooktop, as w ell as possible personal injury and/or dam age to vehicle. A
positive draft could cause the burner flam e to lift-off the burner and go out resulting in an uncontrolled escape of gas. W henever the gas fum es reach an
open flam e or another ignition source, an explosion and/or fire w ill occur resulting in property dam age, personal injury and/or loss of life.
