Printing System
• Resolution
Normally, the most appropriate resolution is 600 x 600 dpi. However, there may be cases when
the amount of data generated by the computer at this resolution exceeds the amount which the
printer can handle. If such a system overrun occurs, use the drop-down list in the Resolution
window to change the printing resolution setting to 300 x 300 dpi.
• Paper size
Select the size of paper that is presently set in the printer. To change the setting, use the
Paper size drop-down list to select the appropriate paper size.
Acceptable sizes of paper for use with this printer: Between A4R and A5R, as well as
envelopes
• Paper source
This setting is fixed at Multi feeder and cannot be changed.
• Compression method
To enable data compression, select the desired compression method from the drop-down list.
Select AUTO to have the software choose the compression method most appropriate to the file
to be printed. Select Text when there is a large amount of text in the file to be printed. Select
Picture when there is a large amount of photographs, graphics or illustrations in the file to be
printed.
• Copies
When the Setup dialogue box is first opened, the Copies field will be highlighted. Enter the
desired number of copies (1 - 99) directly or click on the arrows on the right side of the Copies
edit box until the desired number is displayed.
• Orientation
Click on Portrait or Landscape, as desired.
Once you are finished with the settings above, click on OK. Then click on Close in the Printers
dialogue box.
